Wild and Carefree Garden
My client, Colleen Reeks, wanted a garden filled with wild flowers to attract butterflies, birds and bees, shrubs and shade trees. I designed decomposed granite walking paths throughout the garden, an urn water feature and added a concrete deck with shade structure. As her rear yard backed up to a walking path off an arroyo, I created a privacy area off the master bedroom with climbing roses on trellises.
“Erin Gibson designed a backyard landscape for me, and oversaw its installation. She met with me to get my ideas on what I wanted, went over plans with me, helped me find sources to see plants I would be interested in, both locally and online, and found professionals to do the installation. She offered advice when she thought I was making wrong choices, but allowed me to have the final say. We still stay in touch, and I know that I can count on her advice and help if I have any problems in my garden.”
