Terlesky Backyard Conversion
The Terlesky’s back yard was a triangular shaped lot with a small rectangular area off the master bedroom. They are fans of mid century modern furniture and architecture and wanted that style in their backyard. I suggested they install a hot tub and concrete paver patio off the master bedroom surrounded with black bamboo and I designed overlapping privacy fences built of wood and steel. In the triangular area I designed a sitting area surrounded by concrete and steel planter walls, concrete stepping pads and a steel shade structure at the eating area. The solid shade structure’s roof is higher than the house and allows light to enter the windows. All plantings are lush xeriscape.

“We are more than pleased with how our backyard renovation turned out! Erin has incredible talent, and her ability to tune into what your wants and needs are is totally unmatched. She did such a beautiful job of incorporating all the elements that we were looking for–metal, wood, concrete–while creating such a warm and comfortable space. The craftsmen and contractors she referred us to were stellar, as well. The steel shade structure is a piece of art! Our space was totally transformed and truly reflects what we love! We have, and will continue to, recommend Erin to anyone looking for landscape design that will set you apart from the crowd.”
